Hi I’m Victoria

A 500 hour certified Yoga Teacher.

I first started my wellness journey back in 2007 where I gained my first fitness qualification (level 2 exercise to music) and in 2008 (level 3 PT),

I loved the fitness industry and teaching a variety of group classes but my life always lacked something, that something was self acceptance.

Back in 2019 I booked onto my first Yoga Teacher training course (200 hours) which was a two year course led by Senior Yoga teacher Sara Jobling from Yoga Well-being (North East) Sarah’s course was intense and full of amazing knowledge, inspiration and wisdom and I am proud to say I trained under Sara for my first Yoga qualification. Straight away I started teaching yoga to absolute beginners by taking out student insurance and teaching the students what I was learning.

The next step on my yoga journey was discovering the healing practice of Yin Yoga. After being diagnosed with herniated disc in my low back I was in a tonne of pain and had lost most flexibility in my hamstrings. Through slowing down my practice and researching what I needed to do/avoid I was able to fully recover and heal my back through this practice. I then went on to do a short course (30 hours) on Yin Yoga.

When I first started teaching yoga I was confident in instructing the class but I always lacked confidence in physically adjusting students which was a skill I wanted to master. I discovered Dan Burt at House of Ashtanga during a Yoga Show I was proud to be part of. I contacted Dan about further training in Ashtanga yoga and booked my 300 hour yoga course with him and Dionne Myers at Love2Yoga in South Shields.

Both Dan and Dionne have taught me so much and my own practice has evolved on a whole new level. I now have Ashtanga Primary as my daily practice and still continue to try and get along to Dans classes whenever I Can.

Many people think Yoga is just about the Asana (physical postures) but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Yoga is an ancient practice that helps to still the mind. As we uncover the many layers of ourselves we start getting to know our true self. And one of the biggest things I have taken from my yoga practice is self acceptance. The ability to truly embrace who I am, all of my flaws and imperfections, which in turn has helped me heal on so many different levels.

“Yoga has transformed my life in so many ways, and it is my ambition to help other people transform theirs too through this amazing and ancient Indian practice.”

— Victoria Noone
